Taiwaustralia

Like every Taiwanese person I know now has been to Australia for one reason or another.  It's the cheapest and closest western (meaning white) country for Taiwanese people to visit.  The thing I find funny is that a lot of Taiwanese people go there to join some working holiday program where they pick fruit on some farm or clean hotel rooms or wash dishes.  Those are all jobs that are so unpopular in Taiwan, they have to hire foreign workers to do it.  My question is if Australia is the best place to do those kind of jobs, why are the Filipinos and Thais still coming here to do those jobs when they could go to Australia and get paid like 10 times more than they make here?
